Our Funders

The Irish Deaf Society’s ‘Deaf Career Project’ would like to kindly acknowledge the funding and support of our partners (below). The Project could not continue to make the impact we do without our funders, and we are extremely grateful for their ongoing support.

POBAL – Government Supporting Communities
Pobal works on behalf of Government, and in conjunction with communities and local agencies, to support social inclusion and local and community development. We do this by managing funding and providing support for circa 38 programmes in the areas of Social Inclusion and Equality, Inclusive Employment and Enterprise, and Early Learning and Care. Allocating circa €765 million in 2021.

The Dormant Account Fund
The Dormant Accounts Fund enables unclaimed funds from accounts in credit institutions in Ireland to be used to support the development of persons who are economically or educationally disadvantaged, or those affected by a disability, within the meaning of the Equal Status Act.

Department of Social Protection
The Department of Social Protection’s mission is to promote active participation and inclusion in society through the provision of income supports, employment services and other services.
