As we continue ISL Awareness Week in Ireland, today’s focus is on the importance of Deaf people being involved in decisions that affect our lives.
That means being #included from the beginning, not only asked for feedback after decisions have already been made. It also means making sure meetings, consultations and information are accessible through Irish Sign Language.
Nothing about us without us means #Deaf people having a real voice and a real role in decisions.
