Course Overview
This beginner’s course is designed for Hard of Hearing people with no prior knowledge of Irish Sign Language (ISL).
What You’ll Learn:
- Understand and use everyday expressions and basic phrases in ISL, including daily greetings, social courtesies, food and drink, and simple work-related signs
- Introduce yourself and interact with others in ISL
- Learn your personal sign and immerse yourself in ISL language and culture
Certification
- Award: QQI Level 3 Irish Sign Language 1 (Minor Award)
- Credits: 10
- CEFR Level: A1 (Beginner) to A2 (Elementary)
Upon completion, you can enrol in the QQI Level 4 Irish Sign Language courses.
