Closing Address
Our Chairperson shares a message looking back on a week full of events, awareness, and community.
This year’s theme “No Human Rights Without Sign Language Rights” reminded us how important sign language is for equality and inclusion. From ISL (Irish Sign Language) posters in Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail stations and the Deaf Flag raised at RTÉ, to hospital stands, distillery ISL tours, university events, and local community celebrations. It’s been a week to remember.
A big thank you to all our partners, National Council Members, and everyone who took part. Together we are building a future where Deaf people everywhere can sign anywhere.
