Deaf History (Collaboration with the DHC)

Deaf History introduces the learner to Deaf history in general, covering how certain Deaf people had an influence on Social and political history of various countries. Faith and education will also be explored in how these two themes had a lot of influence on the history of Deaf people not only worldwide, but also in Ireland. The lives of ordinary Irish deaf people in the past will also be examined. Sources including contemporary material and other articles will be used and discussed in class.
